Our little island of Mount Desert was host to the first family over last weekend.  They stayed in Bar Harbor.  They visited Cadillac Mountain, Bass Harbor Head Light (near Myst Haven Cottage) and Ships Harbor Nature Trail (also near Myst Haven Cottage).  They dined mostly in Bar Harbor, but many of our island residents and tourists kept an eye out for them.  Some of them lined route 3 with their cameras and binoculars to catch a glimpse of his motorcade!

I hope that they enjoyed their stay in our community and that it brings many more to appreciate all we have to offer here.

The crocus are peeking through the earth striving for the sun.  People are outside and working on projects.  Spirits are lifted with the return of the sun!  I am sprucing Myst Haven Cottage Maine up for the Summer Rental Season.  Weeks are available and the rates are excellent this year.  Don't wait to book!  I'll be out taking some new pictures at Seawall Beach today for the website.
